From start to finish, Trullo was simply exceptional and we can’t wait to return. Food: We started with the sourdough and the mozzarella. And shared three pastas – pappardelle with beef shin ragu, ravioli with ricotta and a walnut sauce, and the fettuccine with veal, with the veal being the star of all three. Dessert was the doughnuts with apricots. Service: It was impressive how the staff were in sync on all that we ordered. We were able to have one seamless conversation about the food and drinks with three different staff members. Food came out in good time, and staff checked in throughout. Overall: No loud and overbearing dance music (thank you!) which made for a wonderful grown up dinner with conversation. We did have to clear our table for the next reservation, but we did get fair warning ahead of time. A must if you’re in London and want Italian.

Service: Service was excellent — staff were very attentive and made sure we were well looked after throughout the meal. Food: The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and we ended up eating everything — even scarpetta’ing the plates clean. I was initially unsure about the tomato pasta, but it completely won me over — it might have even been better than the pappardelle! The standout dish was the cuttlefish appetizer — absolutely exceptional and not to be missed. Ambience: The layout is a bit quirky, with lots of little steps here and there, but the mood lighting and thoughtful decor create a romantic and cool atmosphere. There’s both an upstairs and downstas.

Yesterday I went to dinner at this restaurant with a friend and the truth is that I left very happy with the experience. The service from the waiters was incredible: friendly, attentive and always making sure we didn't miss anything. The food was also delicious. We ordered several dishes to share and, although the quantity was sufficient, personally I would have liked the portions to be a little more generous. Even so, everything was very good and the drinks were also a plus. Overall, a highly recommended place for a good dinner in good company.

Unbelievable meal! Came for a girls night, it was amazing. On a Sunday evening, what a popular spot. People kept coming in. We got loads of stuff, my favorite was the almond sauce with the asparagus. Specifically the sauce was delicious. I also loved the pappardelle! The wine was also equally amazing. We really loved it all. I wish they gave some sort of bread for free. This surely would be very beneficial, as the sauces are so delicious from many plates. I usually like to clean the plates up with bread, but we didn’t want to order more sour dough. It would elevate this place. Please add some sort of free bread or cheaper bread option ! Otherwise, a lovely spot! One other thing to note, the bathroom stalls close in the middle- it’s odd because you can definitely see out while using the bathroom and vice versa. A cool design but practicality could be improved

Great atmosphere, great food, great staff. Can we please have a dedicated tiramisu station that sells just tiramisu? Please. The food took quite a while to come out. I arrived at exactly 1 PM, and it took a full two hours to receive four dishes. That said, the quality of each dish was great. To be honest, the starter wasn’t particularly impressive or memorable—I’ll definitely order a different starter next time. But the main dishes? Absolutely delicious. The beef ragu was chef’s kiss. Overall, the seasoning was on the stronger side—definitely a bit salty. But a glass of water can fix it.

This was one visit of several over the years, and it never disappoints. The food is fantastic and the pasta rivals some I’ve had in Italy itself. I asked for a cellar table under the stone arch for a birthday meal and they arranged it no problem, and the service in general was excellent as always. Can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.

100/10. A true Highbury establishment. I’ve been here a few times and I love that the meal changes daily. Forces a creature of habit to try new things!! Good wine selection, but a bit random that an Italian restaurant doesn’t have Prosecco on the menu. Tiramisu is my all time fave dessert and the one in this picture didn’t disappoint. Every pasta dish I’ve had here slaps too. Definitely need to reserve as she’s always heaving, but so worth it!

Fantastic dining experience! Trullo is undoubtedly one of the very best (if not the best) restaurant in the area. They have got everything down to perfection, from the service and atmosphere to the food and wine! Having wanted to come here for quite some time (ever since buying their fabulous cookbook), we came by for lunch, and it certainly did not disappoint. We had mozzarella, scallops, and langoustines to start. All delicious, but the scallops and langoustines were absolutely stand-outs in both flavours and presentation. For the main we both went for the pappardelle with beef shin – which was incredibly tender and tasty. Due to some unforeseen traffic challenges getting there, we unfortunately ended up being a bit delayed as a complete company, but I was seated on time and the service staff was incredibly courteous and understanding, which turned what could have been an uncomfortable wait into an incredibly inviting one. And seeing as they have some delicious wines available, not a problem at all. Needless to say, I will absolutely be returning, and cannot wait to do so.
